TENDER BOND SYSTEM TO GO ONLINE IN DECEMBER
On 1 December 2000, Chunghwa Telecom is due to launch an online system for depositing tender bonds, as part of the government procurement website which it operates on behalf of the Public Construction Commission. Approximately 20,000 procuring agencies are expected to par-ticipate.
To date, Chunghwa Telecom has already set up online tender document distribution, tender submission and bid opening systems. The tender document distribution system went online on 1 April 2000 and the tender submission platform on 1 August. The tender bond platform is due to go online on 1 December, and from that time on the Executive Yuan will gradually move all government procurement cases online.
