PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO LABOR UNION LAW
At a meeting on 7 June 2000, the CLA Labor Union Law reform committee initially proposed five major amendments to the law as follows:
To assure the freedom of association of workers in all industries; to relax restrictions on union alliances; to expand unions' organizational structure; to enhance protection of union organ-izers and staff; and to reduce unnecessary inter-ference in union affairs by government agencies.
