MORE SPECIAL INDUSTRIES DESIGNATED UNDER LABOR STANDARDS LAW
The Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) has recently designated institutes of higher education in the education and training service industry as enterprises to which Article 30-1 of the Labor Standards Law (LSL) applies, and which are therefore not subject to the restrictions on normal working hours, holidays and female workers' night work. It has also designated the hairdressing and beauty industry, and institutes of higher education, as special industries in which extended working hours are not subject to the restrictions of Article 32, Paragraph 1.
