PTE EXAMINATION GUIDELINES ANNOUNCED
To guide the handling of cases relating to patent term extensions (PTE), the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) started to draft examination guidelines, as reported in our September 1999 issue. The IPO just now completed these guidelines, which were published and came into force on 1 October. For a summary of the guidelines' content, please see our September 1999 issue.
