Mainland China Business Approved by the Investment Commission May Appoint Mainland Citizens as Managers
According to an interpretation issued by the Ministry of Economic Affairs on March 24, 2010, a person from the mainland area wishing to establish a sole proprietorship or partnership in the Taiwan area should apply with the Investment Commission of the Ministry of Economic Affairs according to the Regulations on Permitting PRC Citizens to Invest in Taiwan. Businesses properly approved by the Investment Commission may appoint citizens of mainland China as managers, and the business registration agencies shall register such businesses pursuant to the Business Registration Act.
