THRESHOLD FOR HIRING DIS-ABLED WORKERS LOWERED TO 67 EMPLOYEES
The Ministry of the Interior has approved pro-posed amendment to the Physically and Mentally Disabled Citizens Protection Act that would lower the threshold above which private-sector employers are required to employ disabled per-sons, from the present 100 employees to 67 em-ployees. It is estimated that the change will affect at least 1,500 enterprises and other organizations, which will be newly required to hire disabled workers.
