REDUCED DEED TAX RATES

An amendment to the Statute of Deed Tax was adopted by the Legislative Yuan in January 1999. The deed tax rates after the amendment are as follows:

Sales deed tax: 6% of the deed value.

Pledge deed tax: 5% of the deed value.

Exchange deed tax: 2.5% of the deed value.

Gift deed tax: 7.5% of the deed value.

Partition deed tax: 2.5% of the deed value.

Ownership deed tax: 7.5% of the deed value.
