DRAFT RULES FOR TOXIC SUBSTANCE HANDLING LI-CENSES
The Environmental Protection Administration recently announced a draft amendment to its Operational Guidelines for Toxic Chemical Substance Handling Licenses. The main points are as follows:
If any of the matters recorded in a toxic chemical substance manufacturing license is altered, an amendment to the registration should be applied for. A new license must be applied for if the location at which the toxic chemical is manufactured is to be changed, or if the name of the manufacturing premises is to be altered because of a change of operator.
The forms, documents, and information re-quired when applying for a toxic chemical li-cense have been changed. The details to be entered on the application form now include the address of a responsible person of the company, the e-mail address of a contact person, and documentary evidence of com-pany registration.
