DRAFT REGULATIONS ON UN-EMPLOYED WORKERS' HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS
The Employment Insurance Law will take effect on 1 January 2003. Pursuant to this law in Sep-tember 2002 the CLA finished drafting the Rules for Assistance of Unemployed Workers with Payment of National Health Insurance Premiums. It is expected that from next year, workers re-ceiving unemployment benefit, or receiving as-sistance with living expenses while undergoing retraining, will be able to have their NIH con-tributions paid in full, for a period of up to 12 months.
