On 30 October 2001, the CLA approved a draft of the Workers' Retirement Fund Statute. It pro-vides for a choice for workers' pension provision among an individual account system, a new supplementary (earnings-related) pension sys-tem, and the existing retirement fund system as provided by the Labor Standards Law.
