INSURANCE SALES AGENTS' PERFORMANCE-BASED PAY IS SALARY
The National Tax Administration of Taipei, MOF, recently stated that considering the nature of the remuneration received by insurance sales agents from their insurance companies, and the provisions of the Regulations Governing Insur-ance Sales Agents, although such remuneration varies according to sales performance, it should nonetheless be classed as salary income, not in-come from professional practice.
